Becky's career and personal life

Lucy Maina, the Kenyan actress renowned for her role in 'Becky' on Citizen TV, has an inspiring journey in the entertainment world. Born in Nairobi as the only daughter with four brothers, her path to acting began at Gathirimu Girls during secondary school.

Initially cast as a tree, Lucy's love for drama grew, inspired by Jackie Matubia, a fellow schoolmate. Despite considering travel and tourism, her true passion was acting. She ventured into church plays and auditions, eventually landing a role as a cousin in 'Aunty Boss.'

Her most challenging role to date is Becky in the 'Becky' series, involving emotionally intense scenes and a demanding shooting schedule. Beyond 'Becky,' Lucy has appeared in 'Crime and Justice,' 'Murder Camp,' 'Amandla,' and 'Second Family.'

Apart from acting, Lucy enjoys nature walks and ventured into farming in 2022. She admires actors like Brenda Wairimu, Sarah Hassan, and Viola Davis and encourages aspiring actors to pursue their passion with dedication and research.
