Ex-sports CS Hassan Wario has been sentenced to 6 years in jail after he was found guilty of abuse of office.
Anti-corruption magistrate Elizabeth Juma convicted Wario of abuse of office in a case in which he was accused of misappropriating KSh 55 million meant for Kenyan athletes in the Rio Olympics games.
He however was given an alternative of paying Ksh3.6 million fine failure to which he will serve the 6 year jail term.
His co-accused former Nock official Stephen soi, will serve a jail term of 10 years or pay Ksh103 million after he was found guilty of five counts of corruption.
